A tragedy has occurred in Kanye West's family. His cousin, Ricky Anderson, posted on Instagram that his son, Avery, passed away at the age of 1. Anderson wrote, "Today was the worst day of my life! I lost my lil man and gained an angel! Rest in Paradise!!! I love you man." TMZ reports that little Avery had no previous medical issues and died while sleeping.
According to his LinkedIn page, Ricky Anderson works in A&R at Kanye's record label, GOOD Music. On his Facebook page, Anderson says he's from Rialto, California and is single. In 2009, Anderson played his cousin's double in the 2009 Spike Jonze movie, We Were Once a Fairytale. He has been an aspiring actor in Los Angeles for some time. A 2015 video of him singing a Backstreet Boys song with Amber Rose went viral. That same year, he was one of those present at Kanye's famous Staples Center birthday party alongside John Legend and Justin Bieber.
Ricky Anderson's mother, Yolanda, heartbreakingly posted a photo of Avery on her Facebook page accompanied with the words, "Lord please give me strength! RIP Nana's little rascal." Avery Anderson was born in October 2015. A week before his death, Ricky posted photos of Avery at the Aquarium of the Pacific. He noted that the jellyfish were his son's favorite. After the initial tragic post announcing the 1-year-old's passing, Ricky Anderson posted three videos of his son. The last one is accompanied with the caption, "Missing him so much."
Here are the photos that celebrate the life of Avery Anderson, a life that was ended far too soon:
