Rose McIver as Olivia "Liv" Moore
The CW brought back iZombie for a third season, which means that there must be enough brains for every zombie in Seattle. The series, which centers on a zombie medical examiner who uses her dead-brain-induced visions to help solve crimes, returns for a third, 13-episode season on April 4 at 9 p.m. ET.
The first episode of season three is called "Heaven Just Got a Little Bit Smoother." After the season two finale introduced Fillmore Graves, a paramilitary organization that wants to make Seattle the zombie capital of the world, Dr. Olivia "Liv" Moore learns that there are more zombies in the city that she ever suspected. Liv's ex-fiance, Majoy Lilywite is also working hard to get his reputation back after it was discovered that he wasn't really killing the Chaos Killer's victims, who were all zombies. Also, no one believes that Blaine has really lost his memories after he took Dr. Ravi Chakrabarti's zombie cure.
Rose McIver stars as Liv, a former medical resident who decided to become a medical examiner after she became a zombie. She figured that if she had constant access to brains, she could keep her zombie instincts at bay. In the iZombie world, zombies need to keep eating brains, which also give them visions of the deceased's life. Liv has used these visions to help Detective Clive Babineaux solve murders.
McIver is a New Zealand actress who also makes appearances on Once Upon a Time as Tinker Bell. She also starred as Vivian Scully on Masters of Sex and played the Yellow Power Ranger on Power Rangers R.P.M. in 2009. She also starred in Peter Jackson's The Lovely Bones.
