Today is May The Fourth, also known as Star Wars Day, and plenty of retailers are celebrating to entice fans to empty their wallets. Some retailers are even offering special exclusives that will only be available for a limited time. Here’s a look at some of the special offers you’ll find on the web and in stores today.
One of the coolest exclusives available today is courtesy of LEGO. If you spend $50 or more on Star Wars sets at Shop.LEGO.com today, you get a free polybag set to build a brick-built R2-D2 figure. It’s different from past LEGO May 4th exclusives, which have usually been minifigures. Still, it’s a unique set and it’s fun to see LEGO try something different. If there are still some sets in stock beyond today, the promotion runs through May 7.
LEGO is also offering double VIP points on LEGO Star Wars purchases and you can also get some deals on select sets. LEGO will also be selling the Ultimate Collectors Series Snowspeeder, but this set isn’t exclusive to May 4th.
We don’t normally think of GameStop as a place to go for Star Wars merchandise beyond video games, but Hasbro has begun offering exclusive figures through the store. Although it will be available beyond today (and was available before today), GameStop is the only place in the U.S. where you can get the 6″ scale R5-D4 figure. You might be lucky enough to snag one in a store. All Star Wars collectibles will be 30% off today only.
Hallmark is offering a cool three-piece pin set with purchases of $15 or more of Star Wars gifts. May 4 is the last day of the in-store offer. You can also get 25% off Star Wars gifts with a purchase of $15 or more.
Since even Build A Bear Workshop sells Star Wars bears, if you spend $50 or more today, you get a free lightsaber to go with your Furry Friend. You just have to enter the code STARWARSDAY17. Because what’s cuter than a bear carrying a deadly weapon that can cut though almost everything?
Discounts & Deals
If you still need physical copies of the Star Wars movies, it’s a good idea to go to Best Buy, which is selling the Complete Saga Blu-Ray set for $40 off. The Force Awakens Blu-Ray will only be $19.99 (although that’s not much of a deal) and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story will be $2 off. The Star Wars: The Clone Wars Blu-Ray Seasons 1-5 set will be $35 off.
ThinkGeek is offering 20-60% off Star Wars merchandise on their website. If you spend $50, you get a Maz Katana pin. If you really go bonkers and spend $80, they’ll toss in a Jabba The Hutt & Salacious B. Crumb pin, too.
If you use the promo code STARWARS at HotWheels.com, you get 25% off all Star Wars items.
For those who need to wear Star Wars-themed accessories to an interview, CuffLinks.com is selling Star Wars cuff links at 40% off. You need to use the promo code STARWARSDAY.
Fun.com is selling T-shirts and other Star Wars merchandise for as much as 80% off. The site also has a Buy-One-Get-One-50%-off deal on Star Wars gifts if you use the promo code maythe4thbewithyou.
The deal that puts many of these all to shame though is Anovos‘ 15% off offer. Now that doesn’t sound like a lot, but when we’re talking about a company that makes a $575 Shoretrooper helmet and a $550 Poe Dameron helmet, 15% is a good chunk of change. You need to use the promo code MT42017.
