Raymond Kerr: Everything you need to know

Triple-A Gwinnett placed Kerr (elbow) on its 60-day injured list March 18. After undergoing Tommy John surgery in the summer of 2024, Kerr appeared to be back to full strength for spring training, as he made a one-inning Grapefruit League appearance Feb. 24. He didn't pitch in any games after that, however, with Lindsay Crosby of BravesToday.com relaying that Kerr will require additional rehab from elbow surgery before returning to action at Gwinnett.

Atlanta assigned Kerr (elbow) to its big-league camp Monday. Kerr was already under contract with the organization on a minor-league deal, but his assignment to big-league camp seemingly indicates that he's back to full health after undergoing Tommy John surgery in the summer of 2024. The 31-year-old lefty previously made 39 relief appearances between stops with San Diego and Atlanta from 2022 through 2024, recording a 5.30 ERA and 1.42 WHIP in 54.1 innings. He'll likely open the 2026 campaign at Triple-A Gwinnett.

Atlanta re-signed Kerr (elbow) to a minor-league contract Tuesday. Kerr was non-tendered by Atlanta last week but is back in the organization as he continues his recovery from Tommy John surgery. The left-hander is expected to miss most, if not all, of the 2025 season.
