With narrow postseason hopes on the line, the Colts are as much as a three-point underdog at some betting sites before their meeting with Dolphins Sunday.

At most sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com, the Dolphins opened as just a one-point favorite. But that spread has been increasing all week, and can now be as high as three points at sites like Bovada.

Miami hasn’t covered the spread since their November 15th meeting with Philadelphia. They’ve failed to cover in five straight games, and are 1-5 ATS at home this season. Things got ugly in last week’s 16-point loss to the Chargers, as the defense allowed over 400 yards of offense to one of the league’s worst teams. x

The Colts, still without Andrew Luck, need some help if they want to win the AFC South. After last week’s loss to Houston, the Colts need to win their final two games and for the Texans to stumble. The Colts are on their third three-game losing streak of the season but have twice rebounded with consecutive wins. Like Miami the Colts defense is also struggling, giving up 112 combined points over the last three weeks.

Given the recent blowouts, the over might be a good play today. The point total is set at 43.5 for these teams, indicating that Vegas sees this outcome as a closer affair. The Colts total has gone over in five of their last six road games, while the total has gone under in four of Miami’s previous six home games.

The OddsShark computer is predicting 23 – 21.1 Colts victory.
