Ashley Hogan, Chris’ Wife: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know

New England Patriots wide receiver Chris Hogan is heading back to the Super Bowl. He and his team will face the Los Angeles Rams at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia, for Super Bowl LIII. While Hogan and the Patriots try to bring home another championship, Hogan will have the support of his wife, Ashley.

Chris and Ashley dated for several years before tying the knot in 2017. The couple, who are the proud parents of 1.5-year-old boy-girl twins, will celebrate their two-year wedding anniversary in July.

Here’s what you need to know:

1.  She Is a Mother of 2

The Hogans became a family of four when they welcomed boy-girl twins, Chase and Parker, in March 2017.

In early January 2017, the couple announced their exciting pregnancy news on social media. The caption on their football-themed birth announcement read, “Thought we were going for an extra point, I guess we went for two.”

Three months later, Ashley went into labor.

“Welcome home Chase and Parker Hogan! Brought the kiddos home today. Healthy babies and healthy mamma! So happy to be home with everyone,” Hogan captioned the very first Instagram photo of his kids.

Chase and Parker make frequent appearances on their parents’ respective Instagram pages. Check out some of their cute photos below.

3. She Married Hogan in July 2017

Despite being busy parents to two newborns, Chris and Ashley had only a couple of short months to put the finishing touches on their wedding plans.

Hogan proposed to Ashley on a trip to New York City in 2014. The two didn’t seem to be in any rush to tie the knot, however, and, once they found out that they were expecting, they decided to wait until after their babies were born to get married.

The duo exchanged vows during the off-season. They got married on July 1, 2017, at Westmount Country Club in New Jersey. The popular wedding venue has won several “best of” awards from The Knot and Wedding Wire.

“Your wedding dreams come true at One & Only Westmount Country Club. Your guests will enter our palatial estate by way of our grand entrance cobblestone drive up accented with decorative gates and romantic street lights. Our renowned property offers timeless elegance and peaceful seclusion perfect for your wedding day. We are on 30 acres of pristine landscaping overlooking the picturesque Garret Mountain,” reads a description of the venue on its website.

3. She Played Lacrosse at Penn State & Met Hogan in College

Chris Hogan played lacrosse in his time at Penn State University, and so did his wife, which is how the two first met.

Ashley played as a defender for the Nittany Lions and earned many accolades doing so. She received Academic All-Big Ten honors as a junior and was the “anchor” of the PSU defense. In that season, she started all 16 games for the team and finished with 18 groundballs and caused 8 turnovers.

When she was a sophomore, Ashley was named a third-team All-American as she became the team’s top defender.

4. She Is a Doctor

Ashley is a medical doctor, having finished up the second year of her podiatry residency in 2017. She was going to school whilst pregnant with twins — and was living in New York while her now-husband spent his time in Massachusetts and on the road with the Patriots.

“She’s currently pregnant with twins — our first children, a boy and a girl. She’s due in April. And while I’m up in New England trying to make the most of the opportunity the Patriots have given me, she’s back on Long Island finishing up her residency at Long Island Jewish Hospital. On off days this season, I would make the three-hour drive from Boston to Long Island to see her and make sure she was doing well. I mean, she’s seven months pregnant right now, and she works as hard as I do, so I want to be there for her in any way I can,” Hogan wrote in a post for The Player’s Tribune ahead of Super Bowl LI.

“I guess I just want her to know that no matter what’s going on with me — no matter what happens with football — I’ll always put family first. I’ll always put her first. Even though we’re apart, I’ve wanted to be there for her during her pregnancy. I don’t ever want her to think she’s doing anything alone,” Hogan added.

Believe it or not, the Hogans spend most of the football season apart. Ashley lives in New York with the couple’s two children and Chris spends his time in Massachusetts (and traveling with the Patriots). They get to see each other from time to time, mainly on weekends.

5. She Is a Crossfitter

Ashley is very athletic herself. While she spends most of her day chasing her toddlers around the house, she is also a Crossfitter.

She previously took part in the Reebok CrossFit Games. She is part of team Port Power, an affiliate of CrossFit Port Washington.

“I am so unbelievably proud of you and all of your accomplishments. It has been so amazing being by your side all these years, through med school, through college, through residency, the birth of our amazing twins, seeing you become a doctor after years of hard work, taking on Crossfit competitions and the one common theme in all of these experiences is you have dominated and succeeded in everything you have taken on. I can’t wait for whatever you take on next!!” Hogan captioned a photo of his wife last month.
