The 2026 Formula 1 season officially kicks off on March 6, 2026 with the Australian Grand Prix, but excited fans and even casual observers of F1 are abuzz about recent events in the drivers’ personal lives. Most notably, Ferrari F1 driver Charles Leclerc has just married his longtime girlfriend, Alexandra Saint Mleux, against a picturesque European backdrop on Saturday February 28, 2026. The two were seen joyously driving away from their nuptials in a vintage red Ferrari convertible in Monaco.

The Upcoming Wedding Will Be Between Two Professional Athletes
The second driver on the starting grid to take the next step in his personal life is Williams driver Alex Albon. On January 16, 2026, Albon took to his Instagram account to announce that he had proposed to his longtime girlfriend – and she said yes!
Albon’s fiancee, Lily Muni He, is not just a bride-to-be, she’s a very successful professional athlete herself! Lily Muni He competes on the LPGA circuit and has made waves out on the golf course. Both she and Albon have been seen encouraging one another at their respective competitions, with Alex Albon having been previously spotted cheering on (quietly, of course, since it’s golf) at 2025 tournaments including the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship and The Amundi Evian Championship. Conversely, Lily has been seen in the paddock on many occasions and in the Williams garage with F1 radio headphones on during Alex’s Grand Prix races.

Alex Albon is currently 29-years-old and Lily Muni He is 26-years-old, so they’re both at places in their careers where they’ve come established and can begin investing time in building a future together. Having been dating since 2019, the newly engaged couple is the only romantic pairing on the 2026 F1 starting grid which involves two professional athletes. This gives the Williams driver and the pro-golfer a unique layer of depth and understanding of one another.
Given that Alex Albon has previously revealed that he has struggled with maintaining perspective and a balance of wellness, notably saying that he was ‘destroyed mentally‘ during his time with Red Bull F1 Racing, having a lifelong partner in Lily Muni He, who is also a professional athlete, will allow the couple to be able to handle the pressure together as they are both familiar with the reality of elite and professional sports. In a 2021 interview with Golfweek, Lily revealed that her Alex has helped her, “see another perspective of a sport that’s under so much pressure.”
There isn’t a known date for their wedding yet, but it’s been hinted that the two will tie the know before the end of the year.
