19-Year-Old Kimi Antonelli Wins Miami GP, Leads 2026 F1 World Championship

In a dramatic finish to the 2026 Miami Grand Prix race, Kimi Antonelli has claimed his third GP win of the 2026 FIA Formula 1 season. Having now won three out of the four Grand Prix races this season, the 19-year-old Mercedes driver is currently leading the rest of the competitors on the 2026 World Championship leaderboard.

Kimi Antonelli Claimed His Third Pole Position at Miami GP

Going into the start of the race, Antonelli was on pole – his third Grand Prix pole this season, drawing comparisons to motor sport legends like Michael Schumacher.

Starting in P2, Red Bull’s Max Verstappen had an impressive recovery from a full 360 degree spin in the first lap of the Miami GP race. In P3 was Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc, who suffered the loss of several positions in the final lap of the 57 lap race, with his car spinning in the final moments of the competition.


Kimi Antonelli Won the Miami GP With a Lead of 3.6 Seconds

Kimi Antonelli took the lead over McLaren’s Lando Norris to win the Miami Grand Prix by a margin of 3.6 seconds, ultimately relegating Norris to second on the Miami GP podium. Third place on the podium was secured by Norris’ McLaren teammate, Oscar Piastri.

Following the win, the official F1 broadcast on F1 TV said about the race winner, “Kimi Antonelli will be the happiest man in Miami.”
