The Oklahoma City Thunder won their Game 2 matchup against the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday night, but they will be worrying about the status of Jalen Williams moving forward.
Amid the 120-107 blowout win over the Suns, the Thunder lost Williams to an apparent hamstring injury.
After the Thunder removed Williams from the lineup, he stayed back in the locker room and was ruled questionable to return. The Thunder wouldn’t clear Williams to get back out on the floor, ending his game prematurely.
He checked out after seeing the court for 23 minutes. Williams was having an efficient game, shooting 7-11 from the field and going 2-3 from deep. The veteran forward scored 19 points while producing four assists, one rebound, and one steal.

Following the victory, Mark Daigneault spoke on Williams’ setback.

Williams’ status going forward is up in the air.
Fortunately, the Thunder managed to get the job done with ease in Game 2. The Thunder landed a 37-point, nine-assist effort from their MVP finalist, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
The veteran center Chet Holmgren wrapped up the game by going 7-12 from the field to score 19 points. He also had eight rebounds to go with his line.
The Thunder Take A Commanding Lead
The Suns will be happy to get the first-round series in Phoenix, Arizona, but they are in trouble after two games in OKC.
So far, the Thunder have dominated with two blowout victories. Their only worry at the moment would be the status of Williams.
Game 3 between the Thunder and the Suns is set for Saturday, April 25. The game tips off at 3:30 PM ET. Over the next few days, Williams’ status will be in question.
