The Buffalo Bills‘ journey to the Super Bowl continues as they take on the Denver Broncos in the AFC divisional round. After pulling off a thrilling last-minute comeback to defeat the Jacksonville Jaguars, Bills quarterback Josh Allen is ready to do it again.
“It’s just doing whatever it takes to get the job done,” Allen told reporters. “And sometimes you got to put your body on the line… just having that can’t be denied mindset.”
Allen took multiple hits during the Bills’ 27-24 win over Jacksonville, and it took a toll on the reigning MVP. While the 29-year-old quarterback was initially limited in practice, he was a full participant by Wednesday and all cleared to go for Saturday’s matchup.
Allen’s wife, Hailee Steinfeld, was unable to attend the Bills-Jaguars game, as it coincided with the 83rd annual Golden Globes. Not only did Steinfeld’s latest film, “Sinners,” rack up seven nominations, but the actress was also tapped to present an award during the star-studded ceremony.
In the latest issue of her newsletter, Steinfeld described her reaction to watching the nail-biting Bills’ victory over the Jaguars game while getting ready for the Golden Globes. She also shared some exciting personal news before the Bills-Broncos showdown.
Hailee Steinfeld Is Hosting Her First Substack Live

In addition to her career as an actress, Steinfeld started her own Angel Margarita line of canned cocktails and she’s dedicated to growing Beau Society, her weekly newsletter.
She announced the day before the Bills-Broncos showdown that she’ll be hosting her first Substack Live next week. Steinfeld plans to share even more details about her Golden Globes experience.
“We’ll have more award show behind-the-scenes coming next week,” she wrote. “On Tuesday, I’m doing my first Substack Live with my friend and fellow Substack writer Derek Blasberg. We’ll chat about the Globes and break down past award-show looks and the stories behind them…Tune in!”
Due to her pregnancy, the 29-year-old had to pass on sushi during the ceremony. “I couldn’t eat the Nobu being passed around, so after the show, I went to In-N-Out,” she wrote. “Honestly, I couldn’t get there fast enough. I ordered a double-double cheeseburger with fries and a chocolate shake.
“With my to-go bag in one hand, my heels in the other, I reached my front door with a social battery very much at zero. But I’ll tell you, it will never get old, celebrating film with people who love it as much as I do.”

Whether Bills make it to the Super Bowl or not, Allen feels content. When asked what the most fulfilling part of his life, “My wife,” Allen told ESPN a few months ago.
“My wife is an unbelievable and undeniable rockstar in her work. In her life as a person — she’s everything I need in my life.”
The love and admiration are reciprocated. Steinfeld spoke about how her life changed after marrying the 29-year-old quarterback. “What we do is so unpredictable, and his job is on such a strict schedule,” she told Variety.
“So it’s actually a blessing — I try to organize my time so I can be where he is. This time of year, I get to hunker down, slow down, support him, and live life. When the offseason rolls around, it’s go-time for me.
“I’ve never lived this part of life before — outside of my work. I’ve gotten a lot better at understanding what it means to slow down and to share that with someone. That’s the greatest thing ever.”
