Ford-Wheaton (Achilles) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against Carolina, Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News reports. Ford-Wheaton will miss his second consecutive contest. He's a fixture on special teams for the Giants but has no offensive role, having played just two snaps on that side of the ball.
Pinnock (abdomen) is questionable for Sunday's game versus Carolina, Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News reports. Pinnock was added to the Giants' injury report Thursday, and he was unable to practice Friday. Anthony Johnson and Dane Belton would be next in line for safety snaps alongside Tyler Nubin if Pinnock is unable to play in Germany.
Gano (hamstring) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Panthers, Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News reports. Gano hasn't kicked since Week 2 but is eligible to be activated in time to kick versus Carolina, his former team. If Gano isn't activated Saturday, Jude McAtamney would be the kicker for New York.
Johnson (knee/back) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against Carolina, Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News reports. Johnson was a limited practice participant Wednesday through Friday but should be fine for his normal workload as the starting tight end this Sunday in Munich. He had a career-high six targets and 51 receiving yards in last week's 27-22 loss to Washington, scoring his first career touchdown in the process.
Slayton (concussion) will not travel with the Giants to Germany and will be out for Sunday's game against the Panthers, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports. Slayton was placed in concussion protocol following Sunday's loss to the Commanders and has yet to practice this week, indicating he hasn't made significant progress in his recovery. As a result, he'll stay stateside for the Giants' Week 10 game in Germany, though he should have a better chance to return after the team's bye for a Week 12 matchup against the Buccaneers. Jalin Hyatt will have the opportunity to step up in Slayton's absence.
Pinnock (abdomen) was limited in Thursday's practice, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports. Pinnock was a full participant in Wednesday's practice and wasn't even listed on the injury report, so this is a new issue for him. He'd previously missed practice reps with a knee injury. Pinnock has started all nine games this season, logging 43 tackles (28 solo), including 3.0 sacks, and one pass breakup.
Gano (right hamstring) practiced on a limited basis Thursday, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports. In the wake of New York designating him for return from injured reserve Wednesday, Gano has put together back-to-back capped sessions as he tests out the right hamstring that he strained on the opening kickoff of a Week 2 matchup with the Commanders. If Gano isn't able to get back on the active roster for Sunday's contest against the Panthers in Germany, Jude McAtamney would be elevated from the practice squad to handle kicking duties.
