Isaiah Hodgins: Breaking News

Re-signing with NYG

The Giants re-signed Hodgins to a one-year contract Monday, NFL reporter Jordan Schultz reports. Hodgins was signed to the Giants' active roster in mid-November after opening the season on the Steelers' practice squad. He appeared in seven regular-season games for the Giants and finished with 10 catches (on 19 targets) for 115 yards and one touchdown. Hodgins will enter training camp in the summer competing for a spot on the Giants' 53-man roster for the 2026 season.

Shut out to conclude campaign

Hodgins did not catch either of his two targets in Sunday's Week 18 victory over Dallas. He finished the campaign with 10 catches on 19 targets for 115 yards and a touchdown over seven games. Hodgins spent training camp with San Francisco before latching on with Pittsburgh's practice squad in mid-September. He was ultimately signed by the Giants, with whom he had spent most of the previous three campaigns. Hodgins put up a solid 7-99-1 line over his final two contests upon his return but then faded dramatically, catching just three of seven targets for 16 yards over his final five games despite posting an offensive snap share north of 80 percent four times during that span. He's slated to become a free agent and may again begin next season on a practice squad somewhere in the league.

Makes one catch in Week 17 win

Hodgins caught one of two targets for eight yards in Sunday's 34-10 win against Las Vegas. Hodgins continued to see plenty of time on the field, with his 52 offensive snaps ranking second among New York wideouts behind Darius Slayton's 56 and ahead of Wan'Dale Robinson's 48. As usual, however, Robinson dominated looks from QB Jaxson Dart with an 11-113-0 receiving line on 14 targets, while no other pass catcher on the team had more than four targets. Hodgins seems to be the preferred choice for the Giants' No. 3 wideout role, but that hasn't led to much production of late, as he's logged a total of just three catches on five targets for 16 yards across his past four contests. It remains to be seen how interim head coach Mike Kafka will approach Week 18 versus the Cowboys given that New York is probably better off taking a loss to avoid slipping down the order for next year's NFL Draft, but regardless Hodgins doesn't have any tangible fantasy floor for managers who still have a reason to set their lineups next week.
