Devin Singletary: Breaking News

Singletary agreed to terms Friday on a restructured contract with the Giants, converting a portion of his base salary into bonus incentives, Art Stapleton of The Bergen Record reports. Singletary had entered the offseason seeming like a cut candidate, but his contract restructure makes it realistic for him to remain with New York for the 2026 campaign. That said, Cam Skattebo (ankle) and Tyrone Tracy figure to open the 2026 season above Singletary on the backfield depth chart. Singletary will likely settle into the No. 3 backfield role, The 28-year-old carried the ball 118 times for 437 yards (3.7 YPC) and five touchdowns while playing all 17 regular-season contests in 2025, the least statistically efficient year of his career. He also secured 18 of 19 targets for 151 receiving yards.

Singletary rushed nine times for 26 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 34-17 win over the Cowboys. Singletary was limited to his fewest rushing yards since Week 15, but he was able to reach the end zone for the second straight week, punching in a six-yard score in the fourth quarter. The running back completed his second campaign in New York having turned 119 carries into 437 yards and five touchdowns while reeling in 18 of 19 targets for 151 yards over 17 regular-season contests. Singletary will enter the 2026 season in a crowded backfield with Tyrone Tracy and Cam Skattebo (ankle).

Singletary rushed the ball eight times for 45 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 34-10 win over the Raiders. He added four receptions on four targets for 25 yards. Tyrone Tracy slightly outpaced Singletary in touches, but Singletary had the more favorable fantasy role. He got the Giants' offense moving early, ripping off a 29-yard run before punching in a one-yard score one player later on the team's second possession. Singletary was also more involved as a pass catcher, logging a season-high four receptions while also topping 80 yards from scrimmage for the second time in his last four games. He should have the chance to end the season in strong form in a favorable Week 18 matchup against the Cowboys while working in a split out of the backfield with Tracy.
