Austin Schlottmann: Everything you need to know

Schlottmann signed a one-year contract with the Titans on Monday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. Schlottman served as the Giants' backup center for most of the 2025 regular season, though he did start in four games (including Weeks 17 and 18) in place of John Michael Schmitz (finger). It appears as though Schlottman will have the opportunity to compete for the starting center job in Tennessee, given that the Titans released Lloyd Cushenberry (undisclosed) with a failed physical designation in late February and that Corey Levin (biceps) is still an unrestricted free agent.

Schlottmann is expected to start at center Sunday against the Broncos, Ryan Dunleavy of the New York Post reports. John Michael Schmitz (concussion) has been ruled out and won't travel with the team to Denver. That leaves Schlottmann next in line at center. He played 32 snaps after Schmitz departed in Week 6, so Schlottmann should have some chemistry with Jaxson Dart.

Schlottmann (lower leg) is active for Sunday's game against the Colts, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports. Schlottmann was placed on injured reserve at the start of the regular season after breaking his fibula during practice in late August. He was a full practice participant all week, and he will make his 2024 regular-season debut Sunday after being activated off IR on Saturday.
