Every single computer or machine that accesses the internet has their own Internet Protocol (IP) address, which acts similar to when you address an envelope. If you need to figure out your IP address on your MAC, follow the two simple steps below.
FOR MAC OSX
1. Go Through System Preferences
If you’re using a Mac operating system, click on the “System Preferences” (the icon with the grey gears). Three rows down, click into “Network.”
2. Identifying Your IP Address
On the left bar, choose the internet connection that you are currently connected to. The example above shows that the computer is connected through an ethernet cable, and the IP address is right below the drop down.
