‘Tis the Season for Last Minute Christmas Deals

'Tis the Season!

As today’s Google Doodle (pictured above) reminded us, “‘Tis the season” for Christmas fun. Of course, it wouldn’t be Christmas without a few gifts under the tree. If you tend to procrastinate when it comes to holiday shopping, don’t despair. Even though Christmas is mere days away, there’s still time to get some last-minute Christmas shopping done. Many stores will remain open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day to cater to last-minute shoppers. If you don’t want to brave the mall, you can also order items from online retailers and have them shipped express.

If you’re an Amazon Prime member, for example, you can place an order today on Amazon and pay just an extra $2.99 per item to have your gifts delivered by Christmas Eve. Regular Amazon customers can get expedited shipping, too, they just have to pay more than Prime members.

Some notable gift deals on Amazon that you can order today and have by tomorrow include an awesome F16 fighter jet toy for 40 percent off, this 10-piece T-Fal cookware set for 68 percent off or this Pioneer SC-1223-K 7.2-Channel Network A/V Receiver for 55 percent off. You can see all of Amazon’s deals of the day right here. Some, though not all, of these deals can be delivered in time for Christmas.

It’s also worth noting that some Amazon customers can place orders as late as Christmas Eve and still get same-day delivery. As we reported earlier this year, Amazon is offering same-day delivery in select markets. If you place your order by noon in most cities that offer this service, you can get your items by 9 PM the very same day. Cities that support Amazon’s same-day service include Dallas/Fort Worth, Los Angeles, Phoenix, San Francisco/Bay Area, Seattle, Atlanta, Baltimore, Boston, Chicago, Indianapolis, New York, Philadelphia, and Washington D.C.

Amazon Prime members can get Same-Day Delivery for a flat $5.99 per-order shipping fee. However, if you don’t have a Prime membership, you must pay $9.98 fee for the first item. You must also pay $0.99 for each additional item in your order.

Looking to shop in-store instead of online? Ars Technica reports that Wal-Mart is offering a PS4 for just $329. That low price only works for in-store pickup of online orders, however. The same article notes that Best Buy is offering an Xbox One Assassin’s Creed bundle for $350. Kmart is also offering free in-store pickup for select items purchased online. One great Kmart deal that is available for in-store pickup is this Hamilton Beach blender for $36.99.
