Patrick Mouratoglou began coaching Serena Williams in 2012, and a love match was born off the court.
They were first seen holding hands in September of that same year.

When Williams faltered during Wimbledon, appearing disoriented, people speculated that it was because she was involved with her coach.
At the time, the Daily Mail said:
The incident will only heighten speculation about her relationship with Mouratoglou, with whom she has enjoyed a career surge in her early thirties. Although Mouratoglou has never commented on the pair’s romantic involvement, there were reports at the recent French Open that the partnership has become purely professional in nature.

Mouratoglou told France’s Tennis Magazine, “Serena is clearly going through a difficult period. But after Wimbledon we had many hours of discussions and we have restarted our work.”
He added, “There were complicated things and it is true that Serena is in a difficult phase, but I’ll leave it there.”

When he started coaching Williams, he was married to Clarisse Mouratoglou, an interior designer, who works at one of his companies, PM Management Consulting.
Clarisse is his second wife, and the mother of the coach’s two daughters.
Maria Sharapova actually addressed the cheating scandal at a press conference, saying:
If Serena wants to talk about something personal, she should talk about her relationship and her boyfriend who was married, who is getting a divorce and who has kids – and not draw attention to other things.
3. He Started a Tennis Academy

He founded the Mouratoglou Tennis Academy (MTA) in France in 1996.
The center provides students housing so students can get intense training sessions. In addition, there is an international school on the premises.

In an interview with Sports Illustrated, she responded to the rumors, by stating:
