WATCH: Notre Dame Amazing Touchdown Pass Beats Virginia

Backup Notre Dame quarterback DeShone Kizer throws this long bomb to receiver Will Fuller to go up 34-27 with 12 seconds left in the game. The Irish lost starting quarterback Malik Zaire to an ankle injury earlier in the game.

Zaire was hurt on the play below:

He was running with the ball late in the third quarter when his ankle turned on the play above. There is no word yet on the severity of the injury but it does not look good based on the replay.

Zaire had 115 yards passing and 87 yards rushing. Notre Dame trailed Virginia midway through the third quarter, but came back to win the game.

Kizer played well in limited action. He was 8-of-12 for 92 yards and two touchdowns. There’s no rest for the Irish as they play a difficult Virginia Tech team next week. Hopefully Zaire’s injury is not as bad as it looks.
