The Sprint Cup Series returns to the East Coast with Sunday’s STP 500 at Martinsville Speedway in Virginia.

The drivers finished up the NASCAR Goes West portion of the schedule in Fontana, California, last weekend with Brad Keselowski winning the Auto Club 400 at Auto Club Speedway.

The last race was on a 2-mile track; Martinsville is a 1/2 mile. It’s always interesting on the short track.

Kurt Busch won last year’s STP 500, followed by Jimmie Johnson and Dale Earnhardt Jr.

Qualifying for the race is Friday at 4:45 p.m. Eastern and can be seen on FOX Sports 1.

Johnson is the favorite with 7/2 odds, per sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.
