Kurt Busch will start on the pole for Sunday’s Axalta “We Paint Winners” 400 from Pocono Raceway in Pennsylvania.
Busch cruised the “Tricky Triangle” at 177.599 miles per hour, just ahead of Carl Edwards (177.550 mph).
It’s his third pole of the season (Duck Commander 500 and Auto Club 400).
Martin Truex Jr., Jeff Gordon and season points leader Kevin Harvick round out the top 5.
Defending race champion Dale Earnhardt Jr. will start 20th.
Green flag time for the Sprint Cup Series race is approximately 1:20 p.m. and will be televised by FOX Sports 1.
