After sitting out three games with a sprained knee, Ben Roethlisberger is ready to return to the field.

The knee is still not sure.

Roethlisberger wants to play today against they Chiefs, but Mike Tomlin has stated that Ben is a “true game-time decision.” That means that Tomlin won’t decide who will start until right before kickoff. Landry Jones will play if Roethlisberger sits out his fourth game.

Ben has played injured before, but mobility is a large part of his passing game. Those intending to start Roethlisberger today in fantasy should give him one more week to rest.

If it were up to the medical staff, Roethlisberger would sit. But according to reports, Roethlisberger has talked Mike Tomlin into letting him start injured before, and believes he can do it again before today’s game.

The Steelers started 2-1 under Roethlisberger, and have been 2-1 since his injury. Last week, third-string quarterback Landry Jones took over as the Steelers QB for Michael Vick, and led the Steelers offense to five scoring drives in the second half.

Roethlisberger will test the knee around 11 a.m. Eastern, after which he will decide whether he can play or not.
