Things got incredibly serious on Sunday night as Arizona Cardinals offensive lineman Mike Iupati was taken off the field in an ambulance following what appeared to be a hit in the head. Watch the moment here:
Iupati was placed on a body board following his collision with Seattle Seahawks defender Kam Chancellor. Ipuati was attempting to block Chancellor on the pass rush. He appeared to drop his head into the impact and went down to the field immediately. Players from both teams surrounded the Arizona player while medical professionals attended to him. Here’s what the scene looked like on the field before Iupati was taken away:

Trainers took the facemask off Iupati’s helmet, but didn’t remove the helmet itself. There were signs of movement in his extremities as Iupati was being attended to. According to local media reports, the former San Francisco 49ers lineman had feeling in all of his extremities and was being transported to an area hospital.
