Alexandre Pato has finalized his move from Corinthians in Brazil to Chelsea, according to multiple reports. Blues fans and the media alike will all be wondering if the player known as "The Duck" will be bringing his girlfriend Fiorella Mattheis, 27, with him.
Famously, during his time at A.C. Milan, Pato dated Barbara Berlusconi, the daughter Milan owner and former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi. So it's fair to say that Pato's new girlfriend is a less controversial choice of partner.
The couple have been together since late 2014. She was previously married to Brazilian martial arts master Flavio Canto, though the couple divorced early in 2014.
The Guardian reports that Pato has joined Chelsea on a 6-month loan deal that's reportedly worth $42,000 per week for the Brazilian international. It will be interesting to see if Pato fits into a left-wing role around striker Diego Costa. A formation that, with Pedro on the opposite flank, could have devastating repercussions for defenders in the EPL and the Champions League. Pato's move comes on the same day that U.S. defender Matt Miazga moved to Chelsea. Heavy.com uncovered a photo from Pato's Instagram account showing the striker and Miazga together. Pato says in the caption, "Good luck my friend @mattmiazga."
