Travelers Championship 2017: Odds & Field for TPC River Highlands

Travelers Championship 2017, Odds, Field, List of Players, Favorites, Contenders, TPC River Highlands

We’ve entered a new era in golf: The “Brooks Koepka Is a Major Champion” Era, to be exact.

Koepka, one of the biggest hitters on Tour, took down Erin Hills, the biggest course in major history, in impressive fashion last weekend, tying a US Open record at 16-under to pull away from a crowded leaderboard on Sunday. While the power off the tee certainly didn’t hurt the 27-year-old, it was about as complete as a performance as it gets–he finished the week first in the field in strokes gained approaching the green, third in strokes gained off the tee, third in strokes gained putting and third in strokes gained tee to green.

While Koepka takes a much-deserved break, the Tour heads to TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, Connecticut, for the Travelers Championship. The three favorites–Jordan Spieth, Rory McIlroy and Jason Day–are all looking for redemption after disappointing weeks in Wisconsin, while Justin Thomas is right in the mix after coming up short on Sunday.

Typically a week after a major features a watered-down field, but that’s three players in the World Top 6 and four in the Top 12. Throw in nine more players who finished Top 20 at the US Open–Brian Harman, Xander Schauffele, Charley Hoffman, Trey Mullinax, Brandt Snedeker, Brendan Steele, Patrick Reed, Si Woo Kim, Chez Reavie–and we have a compelling tournament on tap.

Here’s a complete look at the odds list, per Bovada:
