Cardinals’ Baez Looking to Break the Ice
Since his incredible three home run MLB debut, Baez has struggled at the plate for the Cardinals. He has one hit in his last 21 at-bats, so there is no question that he will be looking to have a bounce-back game for St. Louis against the Phillies. He has also struck out eight times in his last six games.
With Baez being a prospect still adjusting to the MLB level, it is understandable that he is going through a bit of a tough patch at the plate. Although this is the case, he now has a golden opportunity to try to change that hitting in the cleanup spot. It will be interesting to see if he can put together a bounce-back game for St. Louis from here.
