“You want to beat them? Yeah—I mean, how could you be friends with somebody that you want to go out there and annihilate?”
NASCAR Driver Kyle Busch explained that he keeps things professional but not personal. He said he is “cordial with most,” but that does not mean real friendship. He does not spend time with competitors away from the track.
“I wouldn’t say that I’m friends or I’m buddies or I’m going to call them up and say, ‘Hey, let’s go golfing today.’”
He also revealed that a small number of drivers are completely cut off.
“There’s probably two or three that I don’t even talk to, like, don’t even bother talking to me.”
His comments show how competitive NASCAR remains, where on-track contact can quickly affect relationships.

“Uh, Joey Logano is on it, and Brad Keselowski, he was on it really hard and heavy a few years ago.”
Busch explained that the issue comes down to differences in driving style.
“Those guys have different ways of how they go about their business versus what I do, and I just don’t like it.”
Hannity pointed out that all three drivers race aggressively, which often leads to conflict.
“And when you argue over space, somebody ends up spun into the wall,” Hannity said.
The conversation also covered Busch’s past with Denny Hamlin and earlier incidents in his career. He recalled crashing into Dale Earnhardt Jr., a moment that remains part of his history in the sport.
Busch also spoke about the 2015 Xfinity Series crash at Daytona. That wreck left him with two broken legs and a broken left foot. The injuries kept him out of racing for months before he returned later that season.
