Buffalo Bills quarterback had an intense moment on the field against the New York Jets when he left with a bloody nose.

The Buffalo Bills are playing the New York Jets, and early in the game, MVP-winning quarterback Josh Allen had quite an injury scare. It’s never good to see a player leave the field with an injury for any amount of time, but that’s certainly the case with someone as crucial to a team’s success as Allen.

During the game, Allen had to briefly leave the field after suffering a nose injury. The injury happened on a designed quarterback running, where Allen attempted to carry the ball up the middle. He suddenly got hit in the face, it seems by mistake by a New York Jets tackler and fell to the ground. The hit appeared hard, and his face was a bit bloody.

Allen motioned to the crew that he had to leave the field after the injury. He took off his helmet and moved to the sideline, where medical staffers started working on his nose. Mitch Trubisky replaced Allen and completed a nice pass to Josh Palmer for a 32-yard gain. Allen came back to the game at the start of the second quarter with gauze in his left nostril. It says a lot that he only missed two plays after being injured.

Buffalo Bills Country Reacts to Josh Allen News

Shortly following the incident, the Buffalo Bills PR announced that Allen was back after the nose injury, and fans were happy. “Injury Update: Josh Allen (bloody nose) has returned to the game,” they stated on X.

“Bro’s as tough as a hockey player, a leaking nose ain’t gonna keep him out. It may fire him up though,” one stated. Another commenter guessed, “Probably broken. No big deal. Tomorrow’s pics might be cool.” Another said, “Freaking out over a bloody nose is insane. These announcers need to chill.”

“His (nose) is probably broken but the good things is he can still play with a broken nose,” another said. Josh Allen might have a broken nose and joe burrow has an ankle/leg injury today,” one more stated, adding that it made today not so good.

Buffalo Bills’ Josh Allen Talks Ravens Win

Last week, Allen celebrated the team’s close victory over the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, September 7. It was quite a stunning comeback and one that seemed so impossible that a lot of the fans on the field left the game early. But, the Buffalo Bills didn’t leave the field, and they fought up until the very last minute, which resulted in a close, 41-40 victory.

After the game, Allen told people who had left the game early to think twice next time. Speaking with a reporter on the field, he said, “I think there are people who left the stadium. That’s okay. We’ll be fine. But, have some faith next time.” So, yes, have some faith and stay next time, although it was getting pretty late, so it’s understandable that some people decided to cut their losses and go home.

Once in the locker room, Allen had another message, but this one was to his teammates. He talked about how proud he is of his team and gushed over the season opener. “Love you all, boys,” Allen said. In full context, he said, “There’s no … quit in this team. Love you all, boys.”
