Bears head coach Matt Eberflus said Swift won't practice Wednesday due to a groin injury, Patrick Finley of the Chicago Sun-Times reports. Per Finley, Eberflus added that he's "hopeful" Swift will play Sunday against the Vikings, but the Bears won't have a better idea on the running back's status until he's evaluated Thursday following a day of rest. Swift hasn't appeared on Chicago's injury report all season, but the groin issue may explain why he was limited to a 57 percent offensive snap share -- his lowest rate since Week 3 -- in the Bears' 20-19 loss to the Packers this past Sunday. Swift still produced for fantasy managers despite the lighter-than-usual workload, carrying 14 times for 71 yards and a touchdown while adding two catches for 13 yards on two targets.
Chicago signed Johnson from its practice squad to the 53-man roster Wednesday, Kevin Fishbain of The Athletic reports. Johnson hasn't suited up with the main unit since Week 3 at Indianapolis, but he's now getting a full-time promotion from the practice squad ahead of Week 12. It would probably take an injury to one of DJ Moore, Keenan Allen or Rome Odunze for another Bears wideout to garner much fantasy relevance this season.
The Bears signed Colbert on Tuesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. Colbert will return to Chicago where he appeared in two games over the past two seasons prior to being released in August. He will provide an insurance option at safety, who can contribute on both defense and special teams, as Elijah Hicks is dealing with an ankle injury and Jaquan Brisker (concussion) is in danger of missing the remainder of the season.

The injury likely occurred late in the game, as Hicks logged 37 defensive snaps (86 percent). He finished the contest with four tackles (two solo). This news comes on the same day the Bears worked out five safeties, which indicates this injury should be monitored going forward. If the strong safety ultimately misses any time, Tarvarius Moore would be the likely candidate to replace him.

Jenkins suffered the injury in Week 10 and missed the Bears' loss to the Packers on Sunday. A return for the starting left guard would be a boost to Chicago's offensive line when they host the Vikings on Sunday.
Walker tallied a sack and three stops in the Bears' 20-19 loss to the Packers on Sunday. Walker collected his first sack since Week 6, and he now has 2.5 sacks this season. the veteran has three or fewer tackles in six games this season, making him a low-floor IDP with occasional upside games.
Byard tallied nine stops in the Bears' 20-19 loss to the Packers on Sunday. After recording between five and seven tackles in six consecutive games, Byard has 20 tackles over the last two games. This is the first time all season the safety has stacked big games together. Although it's possible this recent level of production continues, it may still be wise to view Byard as a solid floor IDP with upside.
