
It’s the end of the year, which means a round-up of all the best songs, biggest moments, and top movies that came out in 2014. From comedies to action flicks, the year was filled with memorable films that captured our hearts, made us laugh until we cried, and gave us heart attacks in our seats. Interstellar
The Earth’s future is in danger and Professor Brand (Michael Caine) is a NASA physicist trying to save the planet by transporting Earth’s population to a new location. Former NASA pilot Cooper, played by Matthew McConaughey must seek out a planet suitable for the transport.
Birdman
Birdman is about a former superhero actor, played by Michael Keaton, who is trying to revive his career via Broadway. The cast is filled with A-list actors including Ed Norton and Emma Stone. Keaton has already won the 2014 Hollywood Film Award for his role in the movie.
The LEGO Movie
This movie was an unexpected success and the official synopsis reads: Emmet (Chris Pratt), an ordinary LEGO figurine who always follows the rules, is mistakenly identified as the Special — an extraordinary being and the key to saving the world. He finds himself drafted into a fellowship of strangers who are on a mission to stop an evil tyrant’s (Will Ferrell) plans to conquer the world. Unfortunately for Emmet, he is hopelessly — and hilariously — unprepared for such a task, but he’ll give it his all nonetheless.
Boyhood 
Boyhood showcases the ups and downs of growing up, seen through the eyes of Mason, his parents and his sister. Patricia Arquette and Ethan Hawke star in the film.
The Hobbit: The Battle of Five Armies
The Hobbit: The Battle of Five Armies is the perfect film for an action-packed pick and, of course, for fans of the series. The synospis reads: Having reclaimed Erebor and vast treasure from the dragon Smaug, Thorin Oakenshield (Richard Armitage) sacrifices friendship and honor in seeking the Arkenstone, despite Smaug’s fiery wrath and desperate attempts by the Hobbit Bilbo (Martin Freeman) to make him see reason. Meanwhile, Sauron sends legions of Orcs in a sneak attack upon the Lonely Mountain. As the fate of Middle Earth hangs in the balance, the races of Men, Elves and Dwarves must decide whether to unite and prevail — or all die.
Gone Girl
Many men say that they never want to get married and hate women after seeing this film. Nonetheless, it’s supposed to be one of the most suspenseful thrillers of the year. Amy goes missing on her 5th wedding anniversary to Nick Dunne (Ben Affleck) and Nick becomes the number one suspect.
Godzilla
Godzilla is a creature that never fails to entertain us. This newest version of the film shows Godzilla as a hero as he battles two monsters who are a danger to mankind.
X Men: Days Of Future Past
X Men: Days Of Future Past brings back all your favorite actors once again: Hugh Jackman, Peter Dinklage, Halle Berry, Jennifer Lawrence, Ellen Page, Patrick Stewart, and James McAvoy. The plot reads: The X-Men send Wolverine to the past in a desperate effort to change history and prevent an event that results in doom for both humans and mutants.
The Grand Budapest Hotel
You probably haven’t seen The Grand Budapest Hotel, but you should. It’s a drama/comedy that takes place in the 1930s and follows around hotel concierge Gustave, who prides himself of first-class service, including sexually-satisfying the elderly lady guests at the hotel. Unfortunately, one of his lovers dies and he becomes a suspect in her murder.
The Judge
Robert Duvall has already won a 2014 Hollywood Film Award for his role in The Judge, which features an all-star cast with Robert Downey Jr. and Billy Bob Thornton. Attorney Hank Palmer returns to Indiana upon the death of his mother, though he has an estranged relationship with his father who is a judge. As Hank prepares to leave, his father is arrested for a hit-and-run death case and Hank becomes his lawyer.
