Benedict Cumberbatch had a whirlwind San Diego Comic-Con this weekend, with two big projects to show off. On Saturday night, he was giving updates on Doctor Strange at the Marvel panel. A few hours later on Sunday morning, he had to be in Hall H once again for the new season of Sherlock.
Doctor Strange will give audiences their first look at the multiple dimensions in the Marvel Universe. Cumberbatch plays the lead character, Stephen Strange, a doctor who is in a horrible car accident and goes on a journey. He meets The Ancient One (Tilda Swinton) and the doors into the mystical side of the Marvel Universe are opened.
Cumberbatch also found time to film a new season of Sherlock, which will eventually air in 2017. In three seasons, the show has only had 10 episodes and it's been difficult to get both Cumberbatch and co-star Martin Freeman together to make them.
