Tonight is the season 3 finale of Hotel Hell with Gordon Ramsay and this episode’s subject is Landoll’s Mohican Castle. Ramsay persuades a man to take over his mother’s hotel after she worked her fingers to the bone to keep it open.
The Castle opened in 2002 and featured luxury suites as well as a restaurant, but a fire in 2008 really hurt the establishment. According to WKYC, after the fire, the Castle added on another restaurant as well as an event center for weddings and banquets.
Manager and son of the Castle’s owner, James “Jimmy” Landoll II, talked about his experience filming the show, explaining:
Now, we have the blueprints to run this place properly. We learned so much and are still implementing the changes and recommendations we were given.
Since the show, James has really stepped up, hiring Kyle Elsasse as an executive chef and hotel consultant Dave Brewer. James has also pursued further education in hospitality.
