FIBA Americas 2015: Round 2 Schedule & Results

At the 2015 FIBA Americas, there are two available Rio Olympic bids to be claimed, and three teams separating themselves from the rest of the field.

In the first round of play, hosts and defending champions Mexico went 4-0, as did Argentina, led by Luis Scola. Then there’s the young but extremely talented Canadian squad, which went 3-1 with a loss to Argentina but ended the first round with a tournament-high point-differential of plus-75.

It’s likely that two of those three teams will ultimately end up in the championship, thus earning a spot in the upcoming Summer Olympics, but there’s still a long way to get there. The eight remaining teams will play four second-round games, with the top four advancing to the semifinals.
