One game into the season and the hype train is officially on its way into New York Knicks fandom.
After post a franchise-worst 17-win season last year, the Knicks blew through the offseaosn with a handful of changes and, just one game into the season, those changes are breathing new life into the team. Free-agent pickup Derrick Williams scored 24 points and rookie Kristaps Porzinggis had 16 as New York cruised to a 122-97 rout of the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday night.
On the flip side, the Atlanta Hawks, who won a club-record 60 games to capture to East’s regular-season title last year, struggled in their season-opener, falling to the Detroit Pistons 106-94 at home on Tuesday night.
Now, it’s a battle of best vs. worst in a game that has both teams thinking big-time, early-season thoughts.
Tip-off for the conference matchup is slated for 8 p.m. ET and will be nationally broadcast on TNT. Don’t worry if you aren’t going to be near a TV. Here’s how to watch online and on mobile:
Watch Hawks-Knicks Online

If you have access to a cable subscription log-in and password — either yours or that of someone you know — you can watch the game online for free via Watch TNT. If you’re having trouble logging in or have questions about the service, try the site’s help page.
Users without a cable subscription can watch the game through Sling TV, an online streaming service that provides access to a handful of channels (including TBS, TNT and ESPN) for a monthly fee. Mobile users can watch the game by downloading the Watch TNT app. It’s available in the App Store, the Google Play Store and the Windows Store.
