German and Greek powers collide Tuesday when Bayern and Olympiakos meet in group play. This is the fourth time these teams have met, with Bayern winning all three previous matches.
Both teams are winning, both in Europe and domestically. Both are eight points clear in their home leagues, and both sit atop Group F with nine points. Both can advance to the next round with a draw Tuesday, but there will be no collusion at the Allianz.
If Bayern can take all the points against Olimpiakos, they will clinch top position for the group. However, a draw would see Arsenal eliminated from Knockout phase contention, making for an interesting dilemma should Bayern see a close score late.
Today’s game will be available on Fox Sports One in the US at 3:00 p.m. Eastern. Because of an agreement between FOX and ESPN, the game will be available on both companies’ streaming platforms (WatchESPN & Fox Sports GO).
