Arizona Cardinals running back Kerwynn Williams caught fantasy owners attention with his double digit fantasy performance against the Rams. The Cardinals have a banged up backfield which begs the question as to whether Williams is worth a waiver wire pickup this week.
The answer depends on your roster but his situation is certainly worth monitoring. David Johnson appears to be the starter until Andre Ellington returns from injury.
However, Bruce Arians seemed to look Williams direction as well. It is unclear whether Johnson was hurt towards the end of the game or Arians just wanted to give Williams some carries.
Williams had six carries for 59 yards including a 35-yard touchdown. He is worth a stash if you have a bench spot and need help at running back.
