Zack Ryder will go up against Sheamus on this week’s episode of ‘SmackDown.’ (WWE.com)

This week on SmackDown, we will finally learn the identity of Brock Lesnar’s mysterious SummerSlam challenger. The episode was taped on Tuesday evening in Toledo, Ohio, but unfortunately Lesnar’s opponent was not announced to the live audience. This will apparently be edited into the episode on Thursday to avoid spoilers (although spoilers will likely come out when SmackDown airs in Canada on Wednesday, so stayed tuned for more).

Still, some interesting developments went down on this week’s SmackDown. For one, everything’s coming up Zack Ryder! The Long Island Iced Z helped to bring Team USA to victory on Monday Night Raw, and believe it or not, he actually wins a match on SmackDown. Plus, we’ve got some further developments with Sasha Banks, the New Day vs. Wyatt Family feud continues, and that massive Raw food fight, strangely enough, ends up having real story implications.

This is the second to last SmackDown before the show goes live on July 19th, so WWE fans should enjoy the juicy spoilers while they can. After the brand split, SmackDown will be airing live on Tuesday nights, and it’s rumored that both Raw and SmackDown will have their own exclusive championship belts. The roster will also be split between both programs, with John Cena reportedly being the face of SmackDown and Roman Reigns being the face of Monday Night Raw.

Courtesy of Wrestling Inc, here are all the spoilers for July 7th’s episode of SmackDown.

Seth Rollins defeats Jey Uso. Dean Ambrose serves as a special guest ring announcer and screws with Rollins the entire match. After Rollins’ victory, Ambrose calls him a jackass and enters the ring for a confrontation before Rollins flees.

Zack Ryder defeats Sheamus. (Yes, you read that correctly.) Afterwards, Ryder challenges Rusev for the United States title. Rusev blows off Ryder’s challenge and says that he will defend his title on Raw next week.

Becky Lynch enters for a match before Natalya comes out and attacks her from behind. The two fight before referees intervene and an injured Becky is taken back stage.

In an interview, Xavior Woods says that he and The New Day will visit the Wyatt Family’s compound.

Enzo and Big Cass discuss coming to John Cena’s aid on Monday Night Raw this week, saying that they want The Club to quit attacking everyone. The Club comes out and threatens Enzo and Cass before AJ Styles challenges Enzo to a match.

AJ Styles defeats Enzo Amore. After the match, Styles challenges Enzo and Cass to a six-man match, assuming they can find themselves a third challenger.

The Miz defeats Kalisto in a match which begins after Kalisto says that he threw potato salad at Marye, The Miz’s wife, during the Monday Night Raw food fight.

Dana Brooke and Charlotte crash a backstage interview with Sasha Banks, setting up a match between Sasha Banks and Dana Brooke on Monday Night Raw.

Sami Zayn defeats Chris Jericho. Kevin Owens sits in on commentary and attempts to distract Sami Zayn throughout. The show ends with Owens finally stepping in and beating on Zayn after the victory.
