Tennessee takes on Florida as the Vols attempt to break their losing streak against the Gators. According to OddsShark, Tennessee enters the matchup as a 6.5 point favorite.

The over-under is set at 43 points. The OddsShark computer is projecting a 27.9-23.2 Vols victory. The computer is taking the Gators against the spread and the over on the point total.

There’s reason for skepticism of the Gators as Austin Appleby gets the start in place of an injured Luke Del Rio. The Gators defense have the ability to keep Florida in the game. The bigger question is whether the Florida defense can compensate for Del Rio missing the game.

Tennessee has survived the first month of the season. That is the best way to describe the Vols almost losing to Appalachian State and Ohio. Tennessee found a way to lose last year’s rivalry game and the Vols have not been great in late-game situations under Butch Jones.

Heavy sees this one as an ugly, low scoring affair. We like Tennessee to finally break the streak against Florida, but not in the way Vegas expects. Look for Florida to hang around until the very end. Take the points in this one.

Heavy’s Pick: Tennessee 20 Florida 17. Florida +6.5. Under on the Point Total.
