Claressa Shields (1-0), the first American boxer to win two Olympic gold medals, continues her professional career Friday night when she takes on Szilvia Szabados (15-8, 6 KO’s), a former world title challenger.

A 21-year-old rising star, Shields’ professional debut last November was a successful one, as she defeated Franchon Crews as part of the undercard for Andre Ward vs. Sergey Kovalev. Now, fighting at the MGM Grand Detroit, just down the road from her hometown in Flint, Shields will headline a premium channel event when she faces Szabados on Showtime.
