Preview

The Eagles will look to test out their new weapons in their preseason opener Thursday night.

Carson Wentz has been bolstered by additional talent in his second season, with free agents Alshon Jeffery, Torrey Smith, and LeGarrette Blount all joining the team. That should help Wentz progress after a freshman season that saw him throw 16 touchdowns and 14 interceptions.

For the Packers, there’s a few rookies I’m excited to watch in action. The first is Kevin King, who was excellent in college at Washington. The second is RB Jamal Williams, who was drafted out of BYU and could factor into the offense when the Packers open the season September 10 against Seattle.

These teams met in November of last year, when the Packers left Philadelphia with a 28-13 win. It was a huge win for the Packers, who broke a four-game losing streak and started what would eventually become a eight-game run to the NFC Championship.
