The Cleveland Browns don’t get the national spotlight very often, but they’ll wrap up week two of the preseason on Monday Night Football against the Giants. Kickoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. Eastern and can be seen nationally on ESPN.

For the Giants, it’s all about getting healthy for the regular season. They have few individual position battles, and are looking to improve 11-5 record in their second year under head coach Ben McAdoo. There could be a josling for carries at running back, where Paul Perkins and Shane Vereen are competing for limited touches in a pass-heavy offense.

Here’s a rundown of tonight’s Giants-Browns game.

Date: Monday, August 21, 2017

Time: 8 p.m. Eastern

Location: FirstEnergy Stadium, Cleveland, Ohio

TV Channel: ESPN

Line: Giants by 1.5 (Line is according to OddsShark and subject to change.)

Game Preview: While the Giants are preparing for another season under Eli Manning, the Browns have much bigger problems. It’s an open quarterback competition in camp, with Houston castoff Brock Osweiler leading the charge after training camp.

Osweiler may start the season, but the fans want to see DeShone Kizer. The former Notre Dame QB has impressed in limited preseason action, and already has a chance to pass Cody Kessler for the backup job. If Kizer has another strong performance against the Giants, Browns coach Hue Jackson could make the move sooner rather than later.

On the other side of the ball, keep an eye on former first overall pick Myles Garrett. The former Aggie looked explosive in his first action, and will likely start the game against struggling Giants tackle Ereck Flowers.
