Doubs and the Patriots have reached an agreement on a four-year contract, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. The initial report has it as a four-year deal for "roughly" $70 million. In fantasy terms, this is about as good as it gets, with Doubs joining a receiver-needy offense that already has a franchise QB in place. He averaged 50.5 catches for 606 yards and 5.3 TDs on 80.0 targets in four seasons with Green Bay. The contract and situation in New England hint at some degree of upside for additional target volume, but it's also possible Doubs doesn't have much more to offer. If nothing else, he's a competent starter at a clear position of need, entering what should be his prime (Doubs will turn 26 in April).

Romeo Doubs: Breaking News
Won't re-sign with Green Bay
Doubs doesn't intend to re-sign with the Packers, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports. Doubs was never considered likely to re-sign in Green Bay, especially after Christian Watson came on strong in the second half of the 2025 campaign. With Alec Pierce re-signing in Indianapolis, receiver-needy teams may view Doubs as one of the top options on the market.
Stars in postseason loss
Doubs brought in eight of 11 targets for 124 yards and a touchdown while also recovering a fumble in the Packers' 31-27 wild-card loss to the Bears on Saturday. Doubs easily led the Packers in receptions, receiving yards and targets on the night, and he hauled in one of Jordan Love's four touchdown passes from one yard out on the first play following the two-minute warning in the second quarter. The veteran wideout also had a key 34-yard reception on a fourth-quarter drive that would have likely sealed a win for the Packers had it not ended in a Brandon McManus missed field goal with 2:56 remaining. Doubs put together another solid regular season as well, compiling a 55-724-6 line on 85 targets and recording a career-high 12 receptions of 20-plus yards while adding 94 punt-return yards across 16 games. He's slated to become an unrestricted free agent at the start of the new league year.
