K.J. Britt: Everything you need to know

Britt is slated to sign a one-year contract with the Patriots, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Britt heads to a division rival after his one-year stint with the Dolphins. He handled a depth role across 17 regular-season appearances in 2025, totaling 35 tackles (12 solo). He projects to handle a similar rotational role in New England, while also potentially acting as a significant contributor on special teams.

Britt (groin) practiced fully Wednesday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. Britt suffered a groin injury in this past Sunday's win over Tampa Bay, but the issue doesn't appear to be serious. Given that he was able to practice in full Wednesday, it's likely Britt will be healthy enough to suit up for the Dolphins' season finale Sunday versus New England. Britt's playing time has been inconsistent this season, but he could see more defensive snaps than usual Week 18 if Jordyn Brooks (hamstring, DNP on Wednesday) is unable to suit up.

Britt (groin) is questionable to return to Sunday's contest against the Buccaneers. Britt suffered an apparent groin injury in the second half, placing some doubt on his ability to return to action. In his absence, Jackson Woodard could see some added snaps at middle linebacker behind starter Tyrel Dodson.
