A full night of baseball ahead of us including both New York teams, who are hot in their own respective ways. The Mets starting rotation has been tremendous, and last night even Bartolo Colon showed he can be dominant. Across the city the Yankees haven’t had the best pitching, but are swinging the bats better than anyone since the All Star break. The Yanks have a better average and more runs than any other team since the break, and should be swinging again against Henry Owens, who makes his big-league debut for Boston tonight.

On to the lineup:

Today’s Pitchers: Arrieta & Carrasco

Tons of high-priced arms tonight, but Arrieta and Carrasco will be less popular choices. This will help you differentiate from other teams, but still put up big-time numbers. Arrieta has given up just one homer in 93 at-bats against Pittsburgh, and should pitch well tonight. He’s actually better on the road this season, with two wins in his last three road starts and a career road ERA of just 2.21.

Carrasco has been excellent away from home as well. Carrasco has surreneded just one run in three straight road starts, and he visits the Angels tonight. Aside from two bad games against Houston and Chicago, two of the league’s best hitting teams, Carrasco has given up just five runs in over 30 innings during July.

Featured Hitters: Perez & Kendrick

Salvador Perez has been cold at the plate lately, but he faces a familiar foe today in Justin Verlander. Perez has 10 RBI in 35 plate appearances against Verlander, and should break out of his slump tonight.

In Philadelphia, Jerome Williams stays in the rotation despite giving up 4+ runs in six of his last eight starts. That’s why Joc Pederson and Howie Kendrick are both in our lineup. Kendrick has been hot lately, too, with five RBI in his last seven games.

Turn $3 into $800 with DraftKings’ MLB $10K Deep Moonshot fantasy contest, which gets underway tonight at 7:05 p.m. Eastern.
