Damien Williams Fantasy Outlook Week 3 vs. Bills

The Dolphins face a tough rushing matchup this week against Buffalo. For the Dolphins every week has been a tough matchup.

With their 30th ranked rushing attack, they’ve hardly rushed enough times to tell if it’s working. Through all that, Lamar Miller has injured his ankle and is questionable to play Sunday.

All these things considered, it might be worth giving Damien Williams a look this week. The second-year player from Oklahoma, Williams has all the tools to be the Dolphins’ feature back.

If Miami is going to struggle on the ground, they’re going to mitigate that with short passes. Tannehill has targeted Miami running backs 12 times this season, just one less than Rishard Mathews. Williams, who caught Miami’s only touchdown last week, could put up nice numbers if he gets the full day of work.

Last week against the Bills, Patriots back Dion Lewis hauled in six passes for 98 yards. If Williams is the only back against Buffalo, he could put in a solid PPR performance. He’s a mid-grade flex option for today.
