With Carson Palmer healthy, the Arizona Cardinals feel they can advance further than the wild-card round in 2015. The New Orleans Saints, meanwhile, are simply trying to get back to the playoffs.

In Palmer’s six games last year, the Cardinals averaged 25.8 points per game and went 6-0. In the 10 games without him, they averaged 15.5 and went 5-5. The strength of their defense allowed them to tread water enough after Palmer’s ACL tear to make the playoffs, but Ryan Lindley threw for just 82 yards in an ugly 27-16 wild-card loss to the Carolina Panthers. With Palmer under center, expectations in Arizona are undoubtedly high in 2015.

New Orleans is a little more difficult to predict. After a disappointing 7-9 season, the Saints underwent a major roster overhaul in the offseason, trading Jimmy Graham for Max Unger and a first-round pick (Stephone Anthony), trading Kenny Stills for Dannell Ellerbe and signing CJ Spiller.

A week 1 test on the road without top cornerback Keenan Lewis–the Saints will be starting offseason signing Brandon Browner and CFL product Delvin Breaux on the outside–won’t be easy, but the Saints are always a contender as long as Drew Brees is under center. They are 2.5-point underdogs in this one.

Kickoff for this one is at 4:05 p.m. ET. It will be broadcast on FOX in New Orleans and Arizona, as well as other select areas. Click here for a complete coverage map to see what game is being televised in your market. If you can’t get to a TV, here’s how to watch online and on mobile:
