Manchester City hope to rebound from a poor week of football on Saturday, when they host Southampton at the Etihad.
It started one week ago, when City was beaten 4-1 by Liverpool. The loss made it five straight BPL games without a victory, and saw them replaced by Leicester City at the top of the table. Hoping to rebound during the week in Champions League competition, City was beaten narrowly by Juventus. To add injury to insult, Joe Hart suffered a hamstring injury during the match and will be unavailable for today.
To help spur the turnaround, David Silva will return to the lineup for the first time in nine matches. He’ll face a Southampton side that will be without Graziano Pelle, who is serving a one-math ban for accumulation of yellow cards.
