Alabama vs. Michigan State: Date, Time & Channel

Alabama and Michigan State will square off in the Cotton Bowl in one of the College Football Playoff matchups. Both teams are coming off victories in their conference championship games.

Alabama had a comfortable victory over Florida in the SEC championship game. Michigan State needed a last second touchdown in the Big Ten championship to win their conference and advance to the playoff.

The Cotton Bowl will feature Nick Saban against his former team. Saban coached at Michigan State from 1995 to 1999.

Both teams have similar styles and philosophies. Alabama relies heavily on running back Derrick Henry while Michigan State needed L.J. Scott’s heroic touchdown to make the College Football Playoff.

Fans can expect a defensive battle in Texas when the two teams take the field on New Year’s Eve. According to ESPN, Alabama enters the game as a 9 point favorite.
