Ciara will be performing the national anthem prior to the college football national title game between 2 Alabama and 1 Clemson. Canaan Smith will perform “America the Beautiful”.

She has ties to the world of sports through her relationship with star NFL quarterback Russell Wilson. The two have confirmed they are dating and have been very public about their relationship.
According to the College Football Playoff, the pregame festivities will get started at 7:45 p.m. ET. Country music star Eric Church will headline the Championship Tailgate, a pregame concert that ESPN will broadcast some of the performance prior to the the title game.
The 2016 national championship features 2 Alabama and 1 Clemson. Alabama enters the contest at 13-1 while Clemson is 14-0. The game kicks off at 8:30 p.m. ET on ESPN live from the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.
