In a January sure to contain some changes, Manchester United start the new year at home against Swansea. United are desperate to stop their winless streak, which currently stands at six games. But despite their record, which teeters on relegation, Swansea could be a tough matchup today at Old Trafford.
Swansea are 2-1 in their last three games against United, but come into the game on the verge on relegation. They’ve struggled but are on the turnaround, and haven’t allowed a goal in three straight matches.
It’s not yet definite whether United will fire Louis van Gaal or not, but the team is expected to spend during the January transfer window. Already, United is close to a deal for Felipe Anderson.
