Ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft in April, Notre Dame Fighting Irish standout running back Jeremiyah Love has become one of the most popular prospects in the class.

Following an impressive three-year run with the Fighting Irish, Love is set to become a top-10 pick in the NFL Draft. However, he has been seeing a rise in his draft stock recently.

During the 2025 college football season with Notre Dame, Love carried the football 199 times for 1,372 yards and 18 touchdowns, averaging 6.9 yards per carry. He also caught 27 passes for 280 yards and three more scores.

With his college career now over, Love will leave the Fighting Irish totaling 2,882 yards and 36 touchdowns on 433 carries, which is good for a career 6.7 yards per attempt average. He also caught 63 total passes for 594 yards and six more touchdowns.

That being said, a startling new prediction has been about where Love could end up being drafted.

Notre Dame’s Jeremiyah Love Lands Head-Turning NFL Draft Prediction

Even though Love has been projected to be a top-10 pick for quite some time, a new projection would see him rise into the top-five.

Fox Sports analyst Geoff Schwrtz has released a new mock draft. He had Love being the No. 4 overall pick by the Tennessee Titans.

“The range for drafting Love begins at No. 3 and ends with the Chiefs at No. 9,” Schwartz wrote.

“The Titans need to surround quarterback Cam Ward with weapons and Love fits that profile. He’s explosive, with big-play speed, and he’s a three-down running back.”

Love teaming up with Cam Ward long-term would be a winning scenario for the Titans. They would have a potential superstar at both the quarterback and running back positions. Every young offense needs to have a good mixture of passing and running.

What Kind of NFL Running Back Can Love Become?

NFL.com analyst Lance Zierlein has come up with a dynamic NFL comparison for Love. He thinks that Detroit Lions star running back Jahmyr Gibbs is a fair comparison.

Gibbs took the NFL by storm shortly after being selected by the Lions with the No. 12 overall pick in the 2023 draft. Last season, Gibbs racked up 1,223 yards and 13 touchdowns on 243 carries, while also catching 77 passes for 616 yards and five touchdowns.

In his first three seasons, Gibbs has totaled 3,580 rushing yards and 39 touchdowns on 675 carries, averaging 5.3 yards per attempt. He has caught 181 passes for 1,449 yards and 10 scores.

Should Love be able to become that kind of an impact NFL running back, Tennessee would be in a great position moving forward. It’s possible the Titans could pass on the opportunity to draft Love, but regardless of where he goes he’ll have a chance to become a superstar at the professional level.
